5. Which of the policies you enacted at the state level are usable at the national level, or in other states?

A business can only thrive if it has access to a workforce that enables success. We have placed a graduation coach in every Georgia middle and high school to identify students that are at-risk for dropping out and work with them individually and encourage them to stay in school. Our graduation rate was 63 percent when I took office; we are now approaching the 80 percent mark. Our nation must do more to improve the quality of our workforce in order to be globally competitive. Our graduation coaches, along with a program like Georgia Work Ready, ensure that any company looking at Georgia will have access to a talented workforce.
