2. Why do you believe that too many people are going to college?

The problem isn’t that too many people are trying to get education after high school, but the artificial, unwarranted importance that a piece of paper called a “BA” has acquired. Even for young people who have the ability to deal with genuine college-level academic material, four years is too long for what they want out of college and a residential facility is unnecessarily expensive. And it’s time to face facts: genuine college-level academic material is tough, requiring a level of intellectual ability that only a minority of students possess.
